I will miss you DAD!!!

I lost my hero on Thanksgiving Day 2008. I have been prossessing my thoughts over the last several weeks and I don't know that I will ever totally get a grip on it! I love my dad so much and you just never think you'll lose your parents I guess until it happens. Wow, what a hole! I know that God has a plan and purpose for every minute of our lifes and I totally know He is in control. I hope that some how God will work through this and give us strength to carry on! My prayer is for my mom and that God will supernaturally fill the huge void in her heart. Lord help me to be the best son that I can more now then ever before!

Cancer

October 14, 2008
The doctor tells my family that my father has pancreatic cancer and his out come is grim!

Wow... How do you process that kind of news? We all know that our days are numbered and I can even look back and see days that God was preparing me personally for the day when my father changes addresses. See it really is that simple... He is going to heaven and we will follow in his footsteps!
Several years back I was on my knees before God asking Him to give me His heart... To be able to see and feel how He does and ever since I have been very passionate for Gods people especially this young generation. However, it has left me in a state of easily brought to tears. I so desire to speak for my family when that time comes but I want to be strong and able to speak through my pain and share the goodness, mercy and love of our God with thoughs that may not know the Lord personally.
Gods words truly speak to my spirit...

Rom 8:16  God's Spirit touches our spirits and confirms who we really are. We know who he is, and we know who we are: Father and children.
Rom 8:17  And we know we are going to get what's coming to us--an unbelievable inheritance! We go through exactly what Christ goes through. If we go through the hard times with him, then we're certainly going to go through the good times with him!
Rom 8:18  That's why I don't think there's any comparison between the present hard times and the coming good times.
Rom 8:19  The created world itself can hardly wait for what's coming next.
Rom 8:20  Everything in creation is being more or less held back. God reins it in
Rom 8:21  until both creation and all the creatures are ready and can be released at the same moment into the glorious times ahead. Meanwhile, the joyful anticipation deepens.
Rom 8:22  All around us we observe a pregnant creation. The difficult times of pain throughout the world are simply birth pangs. But it's not only around us; it's within us. The Spirit of God is arousing us within. We're also feeling the birth pangs.
Rom 8:23  These sterile and barren bodies of ours are yearning for full deliverance.
Rom 8:24  That is why waiting does not diminish us, any more than waiting diminishes a pregnant mother. We are enlarged in the waiting. We, of course, don't see what is enlarging us.
Rom 8:25  But the longer we wait, the larger we become, and the more joyful our expectancy.
Rom 8:26  Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God's Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don't know how or what to pray, it doesn't matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans.
Rom 8:27  He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God.
Rom 8:28  That's why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.
Rom 8:29  God knew what he was doing from the very beginning. He decided from the outset to shape the lives of those who love him along the same lines as the life of his Son. The Son stands first in the line of humanity he restored. We see the original and intended shape of our lives there in him.

Just getting started

I am just trying to get around here... So bare with me.
